(T) RobotsLAB, an education company that provides STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) curriculum featuring robots, has developed a fun application with Nao, the famous humanoid robot: Nao is now driving its own car!
The car is a BMW Z4 electric car with the following specifications:
-
Arduino-based board
-
Two independent motors
-
Autonomous driving mode
-
Laser range finder
-
Obstacle avoidance
The car is controlled by NAO leveraging SLAM (Simultaneous localization and mapping) algorithms for learning and mapping the objects and the environment around the car that is detected by the laser range finder under the car.
