(T) This weekend, at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, 4,386 Silicon Valley engineers will attend Code Camp. Certainly the biggest code camp in the world! A great place to learn from other developers the latest in software engineering for UI/UX, mobile, cloud…An event that you cannot miss.
Following is a message about the sessions from Peter Kellner, Silicon Valley Code Camp Coordinator:
“We are proud to announce that our schedule of 209 professional and 18 kid sessions is up! We have taken kids to a new level this year with Arun Gupta leading the charge in the kids’ space. Check out our new dedicated kids’ page and see what it has to offer.
We also have significantly enhanced our session selection page so please take the time to let us know which session you plan on attending using either Program/Session/PlannerA, ../PlannerB, or the main session page on the site. In all cases, you need to be logged in to indicate your session preferences.
For the 9th year in a row, Douglas Crockford will highlight our first slot at 9:45AM Saturday talking JavaScript the Better Parts. Stick around after at 11:15AM for Douglas recommending ways for programmers to better manage their bosses. Yesterday Douglas told me this will be his best class ever so don’t miss it.
Finally, we are trying to finish selling out our workshop event Thursday and Friday before Code Camp (Code Stars Summit) so we can focus 100% of our efforts on our main event. Thursday’s IBM Bluemix workshop is sold out (Friday still available) and AngularJS seats are almost gone. The proceeds go towards keeping Code Camp free so please tell everyone you know. As a special promotion to past code campers, we are offering through this weekend, a special 15% discount (use code svcc15off) for past code campers.
Finally, we will be soon posting a volunteer sign up page. If you can volunteer for even just a few hours, go to the profile page (after logging in) and check the volunteer box and we will send you more information. Volunteers and speakers all get to go to my favorite part of code camp, the Saturday night BBQ as well as getting the infamous Silicon Valley Code Camp volunteer shirt.
Thanks to all our speakers, sponsors and volunteers for making code camp the greatest free developer event in the world! See you in 24 days.
