DARPA Cyber Security Programs

(T) Interesting interview from Bloomberg’s Emily Chang with Arati Prabhakar, director at DARPA, this week, from self-driving cars to self-driving ships. More interesting are Mrs. Prabhakar’s comments on cybersecurity, in particular, DARPA latest Cyber Security Programs:

DARPA’s Cyber Grand Challenge, that aimed to create automatic defensive systems capable of reasoning about flaws, formulating patches and deploying them on a network in real time (read also on Darpa’s Web Site: Cyber Grand Challenge and “Mayhem” Declared Preliminary Winner of Historic Cyber Grand Challenge)
And DARPA’s Memex for deep and dark Web search for domain-specific content such as discovering human trafficking
