(T) A biotech company Adaptive Biotechnologies has developed a new test, called T-Detect Covid, that looks at signals of past Covid infections in the body T cells immune system. The test was just approved by the FDA.

The test is designed with a machine learning model, a muli-class classifier, developed between Adaptive and Microsoft which builds a complete map of which of the T cell receptors (~ billions of them) bind to which antigens (~ million of them).

Adaptive Biotechnologies and Microsoft are also working together to “provide the largest, real-time view of the adaptive immune response to SARS-COV-2 via an open database called ImmuneCODETM“.
