(E) What do we know about the SARS-Cov-2 variant named Omicron? From what I understood, not much, except that its spike protein has many more mutations than the Delta variant as seen in red in the picture above, which should help this variant to blunt the potency of neutralizing antibodies. 

Following is what both Moderna’s CEO Stéphane Bancel, and Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla have to say about it today:

• “Pfizer CEO confident Covid treatment pill will be effective against omicron variant“
